I think he's being kept under house arrest until the Egyptian government decides what to do with him. They tried prosecuting him for crimes while in office but that went nowhere.
I think it is shameful that the US government was a driving force to remove Mubarak from office. We forced a peaceful, stabile country into civil war.

I disagree with the other poster about Mubarak. The U.S. liked him because he did what Israel wanted and kept the Muslim Brotherhood banned and cut down on freedom of speech and the press. He was an autocrat, a dictator, and corrupt just what the U.S. supports.
