i DON'T KNOW HOW TO FIX THE STUPID EASY PROBLEM?
Instead of using my remote, I turned off my TV with the actual button on the TV. I tried to turn it back on with the remote and all I get is a blue screen now. How do I correct this stupid move? I know it is just turning it all on, but every button I've pushed does nothing.

Check all the wires are connected as should be first.
Maybe the signal lead needs wiggling or replacing.
Try turning it off and on by The button on the TV?
Reboot the sky/virgin/whatever box if you have one(Turn off and on)

Unplug the set and plug it back in. Also the button from non use may be stuck in OFF and overriding the remote.

turn on the blue screen. then turn off and then on your digital tv box.
