How would people react to a real superhero that happened to come out of no where one day?

Well, there needs to be some chaos and destruction going around first and then the hero will appear. Of course, they're going to not believe that what's going on is real at first, only a few will realize it. Most are like (o_O;) "What's going on? Is there a movie going on? I didn't know there was a movie?"

But then the moment that someone gets severely injured or dies right in front of them, they freak like hell, screaming their heads off in terror, running around in fear because the chaos and destruction is real. And then when the hero shows up with his/her superpowers and everything, they're like "HOLY $#@! IT'S A REAL SUPERHERO!!!!!" and some will run away from the danger while others will go towards it because they want to catch the hero in action!

And then once the destruction and chaos is over, law enforcement and the government will take the superhero in for an interrogation, demanding who the superhero is, where did he/she come from, and how they got their powers because they want to discover how to get the power themselves, manipulate it and use it for their own selfish purposes.

wow, um, okay... I have a lot of the same problems, except more wolfy. But i don't have dreams like urs, but i do have ones were i'm in wolf form and running. Now, i'm not saying that dreams aren't the only experiences that i may be a werewolf. I also have a strong aura and i think that that may have to do something w/ it b/c one day i was watching Headline News and there was the cutest boy on there and they were saying that he was kidnapped and it just pissed me off so i tried to phase in my hallway and i could fell my aura form into 1/2 of a wolf body. While i was doing this i was prying to God, i believe in him too, but i don't want him to help me, i want to do it all on my own. Now my dream is to save all kidnapped ppl and return them home, and give the reward money to charity. And i've felt the changes, i'm stronger, i can run longer w/ out getting all of those pains, 12 out of my 23 teeth come to a sharp point, I LOVE THE TASTED OF BLOOD, i've always been extremely agile, i've become a lot more angry, i've always LOVED to protect ppl buy getting on all 4's and growling and A LOT more. Also, i don't want to be a popular superhero either, just someone who works undercover and saves ppl. NOW 4 U It's very good that u have faith in God. I think that u need to go somewhere secluded in nature, i go to Yellowstone (NP), and meditate to the sounds of nature and go deep into ur soul. That's what i'm trying to do. werewolf + vampire ≠ what u r maybe ur a fallen angel? dark angel? indigo child? but i have a feeling that u will do great things and powerful things. hoped i helped!!!!!!! ~and~ if u do become a superhero plz don't wear underwear outside of ur pants :)

With complete polarization of fear/trust. Many would assume he is good, many would assume he has a secret agenda, and many would fear he could snap and turn on people as those with power sometimes do.

But it wouldn't matter, since said superhero (assuming his power isn't too much) would be immediately apprehended for breaking several laws. Assuming of course he debuts in America.

Catch and imprison them, have you ever been in the scenario where you tell police where a bad person is and give them evidence of why they should go arrest them but they say they can't go get them or their hands are tied for one reason or another but if you go confront them yourself they'll arrest you on the spot? Well its that scenario over and over again. They would have to be better than a who!e police force, then they could do whatever they wanted anyway.

It would be a divided party. Mainly fear and awe. Regardless of what powers the person had they would generally be ostracized and looked at as an immediate threat
