What is a moral issue in contemporary society?
My group wanted to do our project on abortion... but it is the first thing mentioned in the text book.
This is for my philosophical ethics class!
It has to be an undecided dispute... with several different perspectives. They do not necessarily have to be religious disputes. I would actually prefer them not to be religious disputes.

Whether (autistic) people who have shown antisocial tendencies and turn out to be mass shooters (James Holmes, Adam Lanza) should be forcefully institutionalized before they become a danger to society and themselves.

I was going to say abortion. In particular, the lie we tell young women that it's "ok". It's not ok. Women who have abortions are gutted by the experience and haunted by it for the rest of their lives. We might as well remove their breasts. I think it's a horrible lie not to tell our young women that ahead of time.
