Could I put milk in the carafe of my programmable coffee maker?

Hi everyone,

I recently purchased a programmable coffee maker, and I was wondering...

1) Is it okay to put milk in the carafe and then have the coffee pour into it and mix? (Note that I am *NOT* putting the milk where the water goes)

2) Would it be safe to put the milk there the night before and drink it early in the morning? It wouldn't sit there for more than 6 hours, but I'm wondering if it's still safe.

Thank you!

In the cup part -- yeah, I don't see why not. Remember to not put as much water in so it doesn't over flow. No, I wouldn't leave milk out 6 hours, for the same reason you can't put it in the part where the water goes -- out of control bacterial growth.

The milk might go sour, but it won't be unsafe, just foul tasting.
