in minecraft it won't let me harvest cobblestone and yes i am using a wooden pickaxe?

You may be on a server where they limit your usage and capabilities. Various servers prevent or block certain actions.

Not all servers are good servers. Many servers are out there are low-quality servers with low bandwidth. There are also various servers that are hazardous to join, because they infect your computer immediately upon arrival.

The servers that are extremely popular tend to be overcrowded and require a fee for access to better content. When you purchase the content, you may be dismayed when you play it.

I personally didn't enjoy multiplayer minecraft for those reasons. I never enjoyed cleaning out my computer for viruses or paying for content that you can create in a single player world.

However, I took one last chance at searching (mainly because my friend pestered me to try and find one), and I discovered that there is ONE server I would highly recommend.

MinecraftSMP is the server.

When I joined, I was stunned. I hadn't seen a survival/economy server like this one. Immediately when I spawned, I was able to-
