Do You Have to Believe in Antibiotics for Them to Work?

Does not believing in sharks stop them from eating you in the ocean?

What does believe in god have to do with him "revealing" himself to me?

Update:

Ohhhhh @David just showed scientists how antibiotics work. ROFLMAO!!

Have you ever rebelled against antibiotics or committed high treason against a shark? Did either of those things create you, or are either one of them willing and able to pay for your sin debt in your place?

You probably should not compare an incomparable God to such things, and see God for what He is.

NGDCs .. Many or Sometimes some probable Magician's Faith and Pay in Antibiotics could be enough too probably .. I am not very sure though as per some statistics read somewhere that 90% of the Doctors believe 72% of Medicines need not have any use ..

God is not an Antibiotic. He works for you only if you believe.

No - antibiotics will work anyway. Placebos, on the other hand, do have to be believed in.

I know why Christians brought this nonsense up.

Many anti-biotics don't work anymore, so they drew comparison between believers and non-believers. It's a stupid argument. Essentially many anti-biotics are becoming ineffective theses days. It's nothing to do with whether you believe in them or not.

No. But some people find benefit in sugar pills. One doesn't have to have a god to believe in.

your correct. He has revealed himself to us and it doesn't matter if you believe or not. If you choose not to believe it does not change the fact that he is still there. Just like if you choose not to believe in antibiotics, they will still heal your infections.

However, I think the point your making is why can't you be saved if you don't believe. Because its as if you don't believe in antibiotics, so you don't bother taking them. They aren't going to heal you if you don't take them. You can't be saved if you don't believe, because you aren't going to follow Jesus if you don't believe.

    This is a poor argument.

We know that antibiotics and sharks exist.

As it turns out, unless you believe in a god no god 'reveals' itself to you, but if you do believe in a god (and only if you do), you feel as if one did. Curious coincidence, huh?

They (the religion industry) mean just believe long enough until they make off with your money.
