Why is gay mariage illegal but trading on a sunday is legal?

Trading on the Sabbath was never illegal by God's law. Stupid restrictions were added by the hypocritical clergy to make it hard for Israel to keep. The true law was to stop work they normally did and take time to appreciate what God has done.

Homosexuality has always been forbidden by God. It was forbidden in Israel under the law of Moses. Under Christianity, in both 1 Corinthians 6:9 and 1 Timothy 1:10, no one practicing such things could live under the rule of God's Kingdom.

The difference is one is immoral and against God.....while the other is many times not even peoples Sabbath. Should we also close the stores on Saturday because it is someone elses sabbath?

Maybe we all need to follow our own convictions about Saturday or Sunday SHOPPING and not try to say what other people should do. And also let the store owners do what agrees with their convictions/beliefs.

Neither is good but one is much worse than the other. I'm Mormon and we consider fornication/adultery to be the 3rd worst sin a person can commit. The 2nd worst is murder and the worst is denying the Holy Ghost. I'm a republican and I don't go shopping on Sundays. with the exception of Pharmacies/hospitals/urgent care clinics most places should stay closed on Sunday.

The stock exchange is closed on Sunday, Saturday too for that matter.

Many places do not open on Sundays.

There is no such thing as "gay marriage", there is only marriage and sexual immorality.
