Can you imagine yourself to be without living? If so, how will it be possible? If you agree with me that this is impossible, you will have to agree that to have life is a prerequisite for being there. Therefore, "life is reality", and I'm afraid to say, the only reality that we have. Trying to go beyond life, or arguing that this is an illusion,. will lead to nowhere, because there isn't really any alternative for us to be without life. Please let me know if you think that you have succeeded in finding an alternative - thanks.

Doesn't it depend on your view what both "life" and "reality" mean. For those that take the position that reality doesn't exist, life cannot be reality unless you are willing to conclude life doesn't exist(since reality doesn't). The alternative is to assume reality exists and attempt to understand what life is and here we have two options again - either it is reality or it isn't. If it is then we have a life that is real, understandable, and at least of some value with the possibility of a good outcome. If life is taken to be an illusion then, by definition, it becomes inscrutable, arbitrary and unpredictable and of no discernible value (since "value" has to be based on some specific goal).

But if one is reasonable and is willing to be objective (and abandon the notion that EVERYTHING is subjective with no truth value), then one must conclude that life and reality both exist and that we are capable of perceiving reality.

I realize full well that the dominant philosophy at present is that life and reality are both chimeric. But I think this is mistaken and I expect the "pendulum will swing back" philosophically.

For a refreshing, clearly written, and honest view of such questions, take a look at Ayn Rand's "Philosophy: Who Needs It".

Life is a reality. Everything you see around you is real. From every emotion, to every sensation, Every bit of it is real. You could have never felt anything if it was not real. However, life can really be exhausting/depressing for some people which makes them do awkward things like 'being an emotionless human' or even 'suicide' in some cases. Everyone should take life as a challenge presented to you by the God. He is checking if he made you brave enough to face every phase of life. So whenever you feel like you're done with life, Just remember, You're strong, and you have to stay like that, forever. You have to get through every single problem and then be the Ultimate 'King Of The Hill'.

    -Thank you.

Reality is all-encompassing. Life is not all-encompassing. Rocks, clouds, fire etc. are not living yet they are real, thus part of reality. But they are also not ALL of it. Life, assuming it is real, is a PIECE of reality but not all of it.

    Is life real?

Subjectively at least. Every word we have refers to some object in reality. Life is a word therefore it refers to an object in reality. The semantic representation attached to the object by the subject is what makes it subjective, but nonetheless, subjective objects are still REAL.

We experience it as real. I think it is more of a hologram. At night we dream, and construct all kinds of things and situations in those dreams, and they seem real. Yet the dreamer wakes up and says, oh it was just a dream. And so we will wake up one day from this dream, to a more encompassing dream that we will call real.

Just a matter of opinion. Life is an illusion and illusion is a reality.

It seems you want to know about philosophy, it's better to listen to some philosophical talk, it would provide the answer you've been searching.

To ask this question you are thinking. Descartes said "I think therefore I am." Your existence is real.
