My wi-fi hotspot contract ends soon. What is the best company / service to sign with?

I currently use the hotspot for my laptop and Kindles. It cost me about $50 a month with limited service.

Last year I signed up for a trial with Netflix, not knowing that my Wi-Fi provider was going to rob me for downloading a dozen movies or so. I was already disgusted with them for sending my user ID and password to my brothers phone, and I want to change companies.

If you don't actually need mobile, then look for the cheapest home internet you can get and add a Wifi router yourself.
