Wether there is afterlife (heaven/hell etc) or you forever gone make any differences on your life attitude?

I do right because this is the only chance I get.

I cannot rely on later forgiveness and repentance and mercy and an eternity in heaven to get it right.

I have to treat folks with respect, be kind and helpful now, because it is all I get.

When I believed in hell I was terrified, paralyzed and self-absorbed (wanting to "save" myself.) I don't know how I would love Christ when he had a sword over my head. I think belief in and chasing heaven and hell triggers much of the selfishness and misery in the world.

You cannot intimidate a child into kindness. How much less so an adult.

Not personally.

I don't believe in Hell- so there is nothing really stopping me from going out & doing all these horrible things to avoid going there. (Funny thing to say considering I was raised Catholic :P)

I think that at the end of the day, I do the best I can to improve the world- sometimes I can only achieve small things for myself, other days I can help out a bunch of people.

I don't do it for a reward in the afterlife- I do it because I feel it's the right thing to do.

I guess if there is no afterlife & all that remains of you is other people's memories & the legacy that you have created for yourself, then at least it's a good legacy to leave behind & not one of pain & heartache.

I have had a Near Death Experience

I have seen and spoken with Spirits of Loved Ones

who have Crossed Over

I have known this for over 50 years

and now Science has proven what I know

no, while i believe in heaven even if they proved it false tomorrow beyond a shadow of doubt it would change nothing about how i act. i do what i do because i choose to, rarely do i have any other considerations.

Christ Jesus said, in the book of Matthew, Chapter 16, verse 25: "For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will find it." Christ Jesus is saying that if you live your life for Him, you shall gain eternal life in heaven forever and forever ever.
