None is the best, but there is one true church that has been guided by the Holy Spirit. The catholic church. The rest are just the offshoot.

Originally there were five patriarchates, one left the others(Rome). The other four have been united until today...The countries that are now orthodox were christianized years before the ones that are now catholic. For geographical reasons only, they were closer to the source of Christianity.

Some of the differences between catholics and orthodox are: papal infallibility, purgatory, immaculate conception of Mary, Filioque, and differences in the Eucharist... these were added later by catholics and are not accepted by orthodox. However, catholics accept the orthodox as a valid church! But it's the orthodox who don't quite accept the catholics. Let's just say that the catholics are considered a bit more flexible and the orthodox a bit more conservative.

You ask who are the best and I told you who are the most conservative from the research I have done... In the end it's up to you to decide who are the "best", search and compare.

Is the best one that which is more true? I would ask which one is more true? The Protestant religions were started by new heresies, not seen in church history, namely sola scriptura and sola fide. So this leaves the Catholics and Orthodox. The Catholic and Orthodox are both Apostolic, meaning they were started by Apostles. Because in actuality they were both the same Church in the beginning. I would have a hard time deciding between them if it wasn't for Mt 16:18-19 which describes Peter receiving an office which we now call the Pope. In addition, we see the Pope in the early Church which included the Orthodox with a prominent role. So historically the Pope is part of the early Church.

In reality I hope and pray that the Orthodox and Catholics reunite as one. Both have valid Sacraments. As well I pray the Protestants to come home and stop protesting. We can learn from each other. Obviously, God permits denominations and is still willing to work through them to bring people to salvation.

I do wish that people would check up on history and realise that the R Catholic Church was started by the Emperor Constantine who made it a Roman State Church and stated to use force to make 'converts'. This around 350 AD

The first main centre for the new Christian Church was Jerusalem, St Peter was based here, but there is no hint in the Bible or in St Paul's writings that he was ever based in Rome. Paul spent time in Rome and was under house arrest there.

Sadly, Constantine introduced pagan ideas into the Church. The educated RC monk Martin Luther was horrified to discover in his studies of the Bible (an offence for lay people to read it) that the new Roman Catholic Church had seriously turned away from New Testament Truth, he became vociferous about the heresy, but he and those who realised the truths that he was speaking were hounded by the church authorities and many were tortured killed. Luther was shielded by friends. Luther had his faults but he was used by God to bring about the reformation of the erring. The main great lost truth was the Gospel, within the glorious Gospel Message is the Godly Truth that it is impossible to EARN God's forgiveness and Salvation, it is gained by faith and repentance.

The new enlightened believers had to form a new Church branch which became the Protestant denominations. Unfortunately Protestants leaders for a time became as heretic and violent as the older R Catholics for they both persecuted and burned their rivals - this period became known as the Dark Ages.

I have no personal axe to grind for I pray and fellowship with both Catholics and Protestants - my husband and I have no denominational loyalty. But I do like to get my church history sorted! There is enough evidence of what basically happened back then.

Orthodox because theyre more about diversely understanding theology in teh christian religion. Roman Catholicism is just a church governed by bishops who decide doctrines and state that the laity have to believe in them, and they credit their infallibility to the holy spirit, which is not doctrinal.. Protestants never try to unite together. But I also favor anglicanism because they also allow freedom discuss on certain doctrines.

The ones who dont worry about man made rules in man made buildings, but work on having a true relationship with Jesus and loving their fellow brothers in Christ

Its not the ones who try to separate the body of Christ, but those who bring it together

The best at what? Getting donations? Converting other Christians? Converting non-Christians? Minding their own business? Being intellectually honest and admitting there's no evidence for their beliefs?

None are best, because they are all brainwash!

The Catholic Church is in Rev.17:5 Babylon the mother of whores, and all the other Churches that came later are her whore children!

ALL the Churches are guilty of abominations and what they teach is brainwash!

There is no degree as you infer...all are equal sinners in need of a Savior for their salvation, and any who say otherwise are the least in both faith and understanding.

ALL denominations are man-made. God's "true church" is made up of people, not denominations and divisions.
