Why did your team lose?

Not for Seattle/Denver fans. The dust has settled....most people have had time to come down and think rationally. I have read just about every excuse there is....referees, WR's too small, injuries, cheating, etc. See if you can give a reason why your team is no longer playing....and if possible, try to do it without blaming the referees. I will start: my team is the Eagles. According to our defensive coordinator, we went into the Saints playoff game with the mindset of stopping Brees and the passing attack....to which we did. Unfortunately, the Saints rolled their sleeves up, and pounded the heck out of us with a running game....and we were completely unprepared. It was a beat down, and it was ugly. Rob Ryan also had the Saints defense aimed at stopping McCoy...and blitzed Foles. Both worked.

    Chargers:

We went into Denver and honestly I thought we were going to win because Rivers can really put together drives if given the chance, and our defense was playing much better. Having said that, I really need to place partial blame on Ken Whisenhunt (offensive coordinator) for the fact that he really didn't let Rivers throw until the fourth quarter, and in that fourth quarter, the Chargers scored 17 points. Can you imagine if Whisenhunt called the whole game like that? With a pro-bowl QB, Whisenhunt played conservative football for three quarters against a Broncos team that can obviously put points up. Makes no sense to me, and frankly, I'm glad Whisenhunt is going to the Titans because we need someone more aggressive.

On the defensive side, yes, the Chargers held the Broncos to their second lowest scoring game of the season (the Chargers held them to 20 points when we beat them in Denver), in 24 points. Having said that, the Chargers, for the life of them, could not get off the field on third down and we could not stop the run. Peyton did to us what we were supposed to do to them. He controlled the clock and kept Rivers off the field for 6 minutes at a time. A HUGE play, three minutes left in the game, Chargers down by 7, Broncos have it, 3rd and 17, we stop them, we have a damn good chance to win. Peyton receives the ball in shotgun, no pressure, lobs it 20-something yards to a WIDE OPEN (no one within 15 yards of the guy) tide end. First down. Game over. Yes, several starters in our secondary left the game with injuries, but for god's sake second-stringers, you play in the NFL you have to be better than that. That is not an excuse to leave a player wide open with your season on the line.

So ya, almost came back from a 17-0 deficit in the fourth quarter. Too little too late. Whisenhunt continued to try to run when Mathews left with an ankle injury, didn't allow Rivers to get into any sort of rhythm until the fourth quarter, and the defense couldn't make big plays when it mattered most. Extremely disappointing because if Whisenhunt would've just let the offense go, they could've been contenders for the Super Bowl, despite what everyone says.

Having said all of that, the Chargers have a RIDICULOUS amount of potential. The Chargers hired the quarterback coach, Frank Reich, to be the new offensive coordinator, and one of the first things he said in an interview was, "I will be more aggressive. This offense needs that." Hallelujah. Finally. So hopefully next season we'll be putting up 30 points every game because they're fully capable of doing so.

Get players healthy, add some speed on defense, find ourselves a threat in the return game, and I think we'll be serious contenders next year. Excited for next season. Bolt Up!

Packers had a winning season and with the saints anything above .500 is a winning season. But the Packers lost because Aaron Rodgers missed a majority of the season although Rodgers came back for the bears and won the time with out Aaron was ok Matt Flynn had a few good games and terrible games like the lions game. Also Packers defense was overall terible injuries on both sides made the season pretty hard to win. But they had great comebacks they made the season exicting. Hyde almost intercepted Krapernicks pass on the 40whiners last drive that would have cemented the Packers win instead the 49ers ran down the clock and kicked a FG. Then the Packers could have won the Panthers game easily the Seahawks could have been beaten be the Packers to they didnt seem like an impressive team against the 49ers. GO PACK GO! Packers can win the super bowl next year if they increase on defense.

Saints lost because they flat out suck on the road. It baffles the hell out of me because they're an amazing team at home but then they turn into a totally different team when they're away. When they played the Hawks in the divisional round they started off bad then in the end they decided to get better until Colston made that dumb play.

I just hope they get it together and become a much better team. It sucks that I don't have much confidence in them when they're playing away.

Patriots have way too many injuries and rookies and lost to obviously a better team.

Welkers hit took out one of the best corners in the NFL. After that we couldn't pressure manning or even stop him at all. They never punted after that play. Also new england has no recievers. No one big that can create separation.
