  • Concerns of altitude sickness?

I'll be hiking a mountain that reaches almost 11,000 feet in elevation within the next few weeks.

A little background on myself...I'm young, healthy, relatively fit, and live essentially at sea level. However, I've never done a hike that gets nearly that high in elevation, and I don't think I've ever even been that high in elevation in general.

As for the hike, it'll be a day hike. When we arrive at the base we'll be at about 2,000 feet, which doesn't concern me. However, what concerns me, is that we'll take a tram that'll take us up to 8,500 feet within 20 minutes. Then, from 8,500 feet, we will attempt to hike to the summit at 11,000 feet. Obviously I'll be hydrating the day before and day of, but I feel as though it's inevitable that my body will produce some type of altitude sickness symptom due to the quick gain in altitude.

For anyone who's done something even remotely similar, how can I expect my body to react? Any tips? Thanks

Which team do you think will draft Winston? I don't think anybody should, but we'll see which team is dumb enough to.

  • Why don't people like the SEC?

I am an alumni of an SEC West school. I love my team, I love the SEC. If I was a fan of any other team in the country outside of the SEC, I would probably hate them too. Why? Because they win. They consistently have great teams.

Is there a bias? I don't think so. If your school's conference was this dominant over the past several years, what would you expect? The SEC has grown into the most powerful conference and deserve the respect and recognition. It's like in the NFL, when my Chargers play the Broncos, who will ESPN talk about? The inconsistent Chargers or Peyton Manning, who has, over time, grown into one of the best if not the best quarterback in NFL history? They talk about Peyton Manning and the Broncos.

As for the top SEC West teams all losing their bowl games this season. They lost. Simple as that. But why do people say they're overrated? They all played great teams from other conferences. For example, if you take Ohio State from last night; that whole game was a grind for both teams. However, what's different about the SEC compared to the Big 10, is when the heart of the regular season rolls around, an SEC team has to play an Alabama-caliber team week after week. I think that is the big question. Could Ohio State or a similar team not only beat Alabama, but beat Auburn, LSU, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, and A&M? I don't think so.

It's one thing to beat an SEC team in a bowl game, but a completely different story to beat SEC teamS during the season.

  • How about this Oregon team?

Wow. They are putting the hammer down on Florida St. in all aspects of this game. I've become a quick fan of Mariota and this whole team...very fun to watch.

Do you see them going all the way? Personally, I do not, as much as I would love them to. I feel they could beat Ohio St., but I don't think they'll be as dominant if they play Bama and their more powerful line.

    Opinions?

  • Need help picking out a prom dress!?

Light brown hair, brown eyes, 5'7".

I'm thinking lighter colors, like a light pink, light green, something along those lines. Any suggestions as to what color or style would be great! Links to dresses are also welcome and would be much appreciated (preferably under $300).

Also, bonus thanks to anyone who can suggest shoes as well! Thanks in advance!

  • Throbbing pain near mole?

I have this mole on my back just to the left of my neck and it's been there for as long as I can remember. I don't know when it started to change, but now it isn't so symmetrical and the mole is kind of all over the place. It's not very big, it's all the same color, it doesn't itch, it doesn't hurt, it's not scabbing, but it doesn't look like my other moles...the symmetry just isn't there.

I don't know if this is just me being paranoid, but I'm having this dull, throbbing sensation (I don't want to call it "pain" because it doesn't really hurt) near my left upper arm and near my collarbone on the left side. I'd like to think it could be a pinched nerve or something because I was doing some rigorous activity with my arms two days ago, but I'm not sure.

I'm going to go to a dermatologist soon, but any thoughts on what the throbbing could be would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

  • What was your favorite moment from the NFL season?

What was your favorite moment from this past season? Can be a certain play, a whole game, defensive, offensive, whatever you want.

Mine was when the Chargers beat the Chiefs in that god awful game that sent us through to the playoffs. One of the most intense games I have ever watched. Or when Keenan Allen hurdled the Broncos defensive player for a touchdown, which led to a Chargers win.

Great season! Looking forward to the next.

  • Budweiser commercial best part of this Super Bowl?

For Seattle fans, congrats. Well deserved, this commercial probably wasn't the highlight of the game.

For the rest of us, I don't know about you guys, but that Budweiser commercial was the best and most exciting part of this whole game. Loved it.

  • Thoughts on the Seahawks?

    1) I love how they're still throwing...I hate it when teams just sit down after they have a big lead.

    2) Russell Wilson - I really didn't like the guy, but I just realized how efficient he is and I like that. However, still don't think he's that great.

    3) The defense is taking advantage of Broncos' mistakes.

I still can't say the Seahawks are the better team, but props to them for doing what they had to do.

  • What's going on with the Broncos?

When Thomas fumbled that ball just now, I just started laughing. This game is a mess.

Thank god Seattle's defense is good or this game would possibly go down as one of the worst Super Bowls ever.

  • Everyone saying the Broncos are done?

It's hilarious how people just jump ship the second a team struggles.

Stop talking about a team winning or losing until the fourth quarter ends.

I have no idea why, but for some reason Pete Carroll really annoys me. In my opinion, he comes off as cocky.

I'm sure he's a nice guy, but does anyone else feel this way or is it just me?!

  • Serious questions for Beliebers...?

I have seen SO many people saying, "Justin saved me," "Justin changed my life."

How did Justin Bieber change your life? Seems hard to believe that someone you've never met can have such a great affect on your life...for millions of people.

    4 AnswersCelebrities7 years ago
  • Do you support Justin Bieber?

Looking on Twitter, it just baffles me how "Beliebers" or anyone for that matter is supporting him right now. Do people not understand what a DUI is? People's moms, dads, siblings, wives, husbands, and best friends are killed every day by people that decide to drive under the influence.

It's absolutely unbelievable and disgusting how ignorant some people are.
