Should we follow the liberal agenda?

I happen to think the best way to ensure a conservative gets elected in 2016 is to follow the liberal agenda lockstep. Raise taxes through the roof, spend like there's no tomorrow! Right now, there is minimal support for cutting spending, but that'll change once Americans actually get a taste of the hands-on progressive policy they supported. So by 2016, Americans will be crippled at the gas pumps, and well over half of their paychecks will go to the government. So all of a sudden, a conservative candidate swoops in and promises a return to fiscal sanity; to get rid of the IRS and drastically lower taxes. They will explain to the ppl, in Cliff notes terminology, how by slashing spending and living within our means, we can get the economy on the up and up once again.

Do you realize how depressed Americans will be once they have to fork over nearly 2/3rds of what they earn? They won't be traveling, as they'll get raped at the gas pumps. Millions of ppl will now be in poverty, as they cannot afford the left's tax increases, and putting food on the table will be that much harder. The majority of the population will be receiving government assistance, but that will crash, as working Americans cannot afford to pay it much longer.

I think by following the liberal agenda for a few years, a conservative candidate is a lock for 2016!

Update:

Because sometimes you have to jump in the water to come to the realization that the water is ice cold!

Update 2:

@ stubby, that link you provided was hilarious. How would liberals defend 'Bama if they couldn't mention Bush's name????? Bush is the go-to battle cry of the left, and at first it was funny, now it's just pathetic.

Update 3:

@ don't judge- don't be stupid. bamie's economic stimulis did absolutely nothing. Well I lie, it did take more money from the taxpaying citizen, so the result is we have less money to spend. Follow me so far? Good. Now the government then give the money they stole from the taxpayers to somebody else. So, then whomever that is now has my money to spend, and when I say "my" I mean all taxpayers. So now the Democrats can somehow announce that this helped the economy? Gimme a break, money exchanging hands does not create wealth! Letting ppl keep more of their money via tax cuts stimulate the economy. "Tax cuts", you're a funny guy!

For some reason what came to mind when reading this is that I find it weird that Obama's selling point was Obamacare, but he had a democratic congress and no Obamacare. McCain had no health care reform and it wasn't until after Romney and Romneycare did Obamacare pass through. Romneycare and Obamacare are practically the same thing and a Republican idea. I think we are being played. Not that much difference in the 2 parties if you ask me.

  • lol.... too bad that even if you were right, the cons in the house wouldn't let it happen...

also, the largest increase Obama has proposed was a 7 percent increase on the very wealthy?

that's hardly them paying anywhere close to half or 2/3rds...

The Conservatives don't have any agenda ... and no viable contender ... so get used to the fact there will be another Democrat in the White House in 2016 ... !

You mean coming on a public forum like Yahoo Answers and posting one insipid, ******** 'question' after another, accomplishing nothing other than making themselves look like complete idiots?

No, wait. Righties have the corner on that market.

Democrats and republicans are essentially the same. Both thirst for power and provide nothing for the people.
