Seriously folks. We live in the21st Century, at a time when people have never been healthier and in this country (but not everywhere in the world) freer. But most of what we hear - surely on this Board - is anger and sarcasm and whining and moaning. It's always somebody else's fault.
Is it not time to grow up and take the best advantage possible to continue what the generations have given us: Building an even better world, as Lincoln said, "...to do all which may achieve achieve and cherish a just, and a lasting peace, among ourselves, and with all nations."

2. General background. I'm a 65-year old White Male. USMC 1967-1971. College graduate. Raised a family, all of whom are American taxpayers with families of their own. Started three small businesses. In my businesses, No one makes less than 1/4 what I do; and we always have provided medical coverage to all our employees. Christian church-goer in the Reform tradition. I've voted in every election, primary and general, since I turned 21. Proud to be an American. And also proud to be a political Liberal.

I knew Lacy when she was Jill Croston back in Santa Cruz, California back in the 70's. The old Santa Cruz Steamship Company where I tended bar and managed the kitchen and she sang. A classy lady that to this day I still have a crush on. What a voice.
