Should I continue to wear a wig while I grow out breakage?

So I have already been wearing wigs since August after a horrible relaxer. My hair broke off right at the crown in what can only be described as a crop circle. That small portion has grown to about 2 inches while the rest of my hair is a healthy 5 inches. I haven't had a perm since then and my hair is super thick. I'm on the fence about cutting and going natural or continuing growing it out and texlaxing in the spring, around March. Anyone else ever have this happen and what did you do? What do your recommend?

If you're trying to grow hair, avoid anything that prevents them from growing. Like a plant, if they're covered up they don't grow normally.

Many celebrities wear hair extensions or wigs, you really don't know their hair anymore!

Shakira is a good example! She's in Bazaar Feb. 2014 issue cover, both front & back. In the magazine she's also advertising Crest 3D White, if you look very closely, her hair is not hers!

Now browse through the pages of the same magazine, and compare how the girls on the runway's hair looks!

I also do not recommend them! Hair straighteners are known as hair relaxers, keratin treatments and hair-smoothing products. Relaxers made his/her hair FALL OUT!

Google: Jennifer Aniston's Hair Disaster Nov. 6-13.

The reason Jen went for the ol' snip-a-roo wasn't to be on trend. It's because her hair is fried and falling out after getting a Brazilian Blowout. You know those amazing salon hair treatments that can make the thickest, frizziest hair Pantene commercial-esque? She didn't come to me for advice, I could have said NO don't!

It's been all over the news, but why wasn't her hairstylist informed, they're partners in the new hair product, on which she is a spokesperson!
