Tom,
I'm a conservative, and I'm pretty tolerant of everyone. I really don't care about your gender, skin color, orientation, etc.
IF I HAD to pick a group that I'm more tolerant of, I would have to say people who do honest, hard work for a living. I can really respect that.
@Libraryanna - I, with all love, have to disagree with your statement. I don't prefer rich white Christian males over anyone else. I love everyone equally, just as Jesus commanded.

I'd say just about every group.
Liberals are "tolerant" of people and opposing ideas in the abstract, but not in practice.
Conservatives tend to be quite tolerant of people who disagree with us, and we are willing to listen to them and let them speak.
Shall we compare how many conservative speakers on campuses have been un-invited or interrupted by liberals versus liberal speakers being un-invited or having their speeches interrupted?
Shall we compare the number of Democrat politicians who have smeared and maligned conservatives, or told them to get out of their state, versus Republicans who have done so?
Yeah, liberal "tolerance" exists only in the abstract, not in reality.

It's not about conservatism. There's nothing in conservatism that is intolerant. It's the Republican Party. The GOP has instigated, encouraged and exploited every kind of intolerance. They have always sought to unite the white/male/Protestant/English-speaking/straight majority against various minorities, and in so doing they have 'sold' racism, sexism, xenophobia, homophobia, even religious intolerance.
This is not working for them as well as it used to. Because white/male/Protestant/etc. are not the big majority they used to be.

it depends whether they're Social Conservatives or whether they're only Fiscal Conservatives

Rich white "christian" males. Everyone else is someone they have to deal with but don't want to.
