Reliable up-to-date Information on Philippines-Canada family class visa application?

With no answers from the Canadian Embassy in Makati, nor from the current CIC Minister, Chris Alexander, and no help available from the immigration consultants we've asked, how would we learn what the (now) actual wait time would be for the Canadian visa in the Spousal Sponsorship case of my Philippines wife approved last July, 2013?

Since that time, there has been a labour action and a reprioritizing of Typhoon Haiyan victim applications.

Original estimates ran from 10 months to 14 months.

Any ideas?

You aren't getting answers because they are easily found on the website. Current processing time is 14 months. They can't give you another time because there are thousands of applications and the embassy has to go through each one.

If the website is telling you 14 months, then expect it to take approx 14 months if all your paperwork is in order.
