Why is the world falling apart?

I started taking an active interest in world events at 13 and i don't ever remember periods of unrest and situations so dire, as they have been for the past 2 years. There is no end in sight for the Syrian civil war. The conflict in CAR is only on the rise. Ukraine's parliament almost reverted due to a policy of 'no protest' (which i understood fortunately failed). After almost 15 years we can be sure that the war on terror in the middle east has been unsuccessful and yet withdrawals are minimal.

Has it always been like this or have i only just opened my eyes?

Update:

@Marissa Mayer - I'm British.

It has always been like this.

If you think things are bad now, consider what they were like during the Cold War era. The world was on the brink of nuclear war, and actually nuclear war *should* have occurred. The only reason it was averted was because one man refused.

That man was Vasili Arkhipov, a Soviet naval officer. The other two senior officials had decided to launch nuclear torpedo, but it needed to be a unanimous decision for all three of them.

He quite literally saved the world by taking his stand.

What that shows is that even if things have always been this way, a single person has the power to stop it from falling apart completely, so long as they are willing to follow what they think is right.

Of course, what one person thinks is right also has the possibility of leading to destruction.

It's only apparently worse now than in the past.

Nowadays we have television, radio, the Internet, the World Wide Web; instant communications that did not exist even thirty years ago.

An event like the 2004 tsunami would have likely gone unreported in Europe or North America in the XIX Century. Huge conflicts and mass casualties of people went largely unreported, as there was no way to report them.

What you see today is largely a problem of information overload.

The overpopulating cultures have again approached the limit of the worlds ability to support the growing numbers under contemporary technology. We are at the position we were in the mid 1920's.

Spending and economic manipulating is out of control. Huge hordes of excess labor, mostly in Asia this time, are literally devouring the world's economies. Rebellions arise from the frustration young people feel seeing their future disappear.

Unless new technology rescues us again the conflicts could escalate into wars of conquest as they did a century ago.

Source(s): For decades I studied philosophies, cultures, and social institutions. I began that because of confusion resulting from my military experience under the shadow of neo-Marxist anti-military and anti-capitalism indoctrination in the universities. I continue a forty year quest wading through the huge pile of stinking crap a wide variety of bigots dumped on top of truth hiding it from nearly everyone's view. The pile was made by blaming people or practices they don't like while excusing people or practices they do like regardless of where the fault really lies.

The Bible predicted such events and more.

Matthew 24: 6-7 says, " And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. All these are the beginning of sorrows." The end is near. Jesus Christ is the only escape out of the storms ahead.
