How many former coaches ?

Does it take to get the Cowboys over the 8-8 hump ? Jerry Jones is running a retirement home for old coaches but is he helping the cowboys or hurting them with all those coaches?

If I was Jason Garrett in the last year of my contract i would call my own plays if my coaching career was on the line.

It's not the coaching, it's the players. Jason Garrett is a pretty good coach if you ask me (just not a good play caller). I actually asked a similar question recently, wondering why Monte Kiffin is taking the blame for the bad Cowboys defenses.

Face it, guys. Your team just isn't that good.

Bill Callahan (last year's OC) led the Raiders to the Super Bowl in 2002 with the best offense in the NFL that season.

Monte Kiffin (last year's DC) consistently ran an elite defensive unit with the Buccaneers from 1996-2008.

Rob Ryan (2 years ago DC) even made the SAINTS defense look good. (What does that say about YOUR defense, when your former DC can make the Saints d look good, but not yours?)

Countless different coaches have attempted to fix the Cowboys, and all have failed. Coincidence? I think not. The Cowboys are just not a good team. It's that simple. And until Jerry Jones hires a GM to build a real team, they will continue to be mediocre.
