Both major political parties in the US have hypocritical elements within their platform.?
Which of these hypocrisies would you most like to see your party fix?
Not looking for your opinion of the opposition party.....looking for insightful responses addressing hypocrisy of the Democrat or Republican platforms.
Thanks to the first response.....that's the sort of answer I was hoping to get.
Apparently robzuc97 didn't read the whole question. Obviously you're not a Democrat, so the question for robzuc97 is "What would you like to see the Republican Party fix in their platform"?

I would like to see Republicans actually do some real shrinking of government that has been allowed to get too bloated.

I would like to see the Democrats commit to gun regulation, rather than just pay it lip service. They should not have stopped trying after one bill post-Sandy Hook. The problem did not stop being a problem because the bill failed. It is hypocritical to use it as a talking point, without focusing their action on it as well.

Here's a list of Dem ones:
-against war in Iraq but were itching to go to Syria
-love the troops but last two budgets signed denied a COLA increase to veterans along with a reduction in survivor benefits
-say how voter ID laws "disenfranchise the poor" because they cannot both get to a DMV or afford the fee and yet 21 states passed laws allowing illegal immigrants access to driver's licenses.
-say how second hand smoke "kills" and yet legalize pot
-say how they care so much for the poor and yet hiked up the taxes on cigarettes http://www.health.am/ab/more/poor-people-smoke-mor...
-say how 2.3 million signing up for Obamacare is an "overwhelming success" and yet the 6.5 million who lost their insurance due to it was a "small percentage"
-the whole SOTU (S**head Obama Talking Uselessly) speech of how "good everything is" when we saw a mere .7% (that's 7 tenths of a percent!) of growth in the GDP and that's what he calls "sound"!
