How to get an AcerScan 620PT "Prisa" to work on a computer with XP Pro O/S?
I have the above scanner and a Dell Optiplex computer with Windows XP Pro SP 3 O/S. It is a parallel port scanner and all connections have been made correctly. I tried installing with the original installation disk + driver CD. It looks like it's downloading but the computer doesn't recognize the scanner. I think it's because the CD doesn't have an XP driver Searching the web has been frustrating to say the least. This scanner worked fine with Win 95 and 98 SE. Hope somebody out there can get me on the right track.

What I would advise you to do is up date your computers operating system for a start to bring it into the year January 2014, you can do this for Free. by going to this website and downloading their operating system from here
Make a boot able usb disk. you can download the software from here
