my kittens food agressive, help?
So I have a twelve week old kitten, weve had him since he was 7 weeks. Weve noticed that hes food agressive. When ever he has food he'll spit and growl at you and will sometimes scratch too. He also so does this over some of his toys, any advice on how to stop it?

Sounds like you cat is either really afraid or intimidated by you, if the cat is only like this during eatting it wants to be left alone so leave it alone. if its aggressive when your trying to pet or play then its a problem, cats dont usually show aggression unless their space is being invaded by someone they dont trust/like.
Its best you get this seen to soon because it could become permanent and the cat will remain this way and will only make it harder to look after

Good suggestions, Also try worming him. ALL dogs and cats are born with worms.. No exceptions.. So if they are starving.. they will get aggressive towards food. after hes had his several weeks of treatment, if he is still aggressive, try training him. This is what I had to do with my girl kitten just recently. My sister and I adopted look alike tortoise shells, grey with patches of color.. My daughter named them Celestia and Luna after the my little pony princesses. Luna is as gentle as a dove.. but her sister, the one I ended up with, has an attitude that intimidates my mastiff husky mix. She bit the bugger out of me and my hand was soon soaked in blood. She did that to my sister as well and got tossed across the room!! I guess I have more patience. So I showed my sister how to train her to stop this. First, you cant be afraid of being bitten. If you are, this wont work. Give him food close handed. Slowly open your hand making him have to nuzzle his way into the food. Slowly work with him like this until you feel comfortable trying just two fingers. You may get nipped but when you do, take the food immediately out of his reach and firmly tell him NO! And try again. He may require a few cuffings before he grasps that hurting you hurts him in return. It worked with Celestia.. It is what is used to train dogs as well. When the bowl is put down for the cat, keep a hand in it. Let him eat around your hand so he can smell you. If he scratches, use your other hand to cuff him or remove him from the dish. Eventually He WILL see fit to share with his master.

If you’re thinking you want to start training your dog properly, but aren’t sure how, then you’re in the right place. Learn more https://tr.im/dupnI
The thing about proper dog training is that the more you know, the more you can use towards training your dog. If you have gotten a new dog or puppy, you should work on training them right away. If they are going to be indoor dogs, you can start crate training them . This prevents bathroom accidents or your items being chewed on. Start off with the right sized crate, so that they have enough room in the crate to move around a bit.
If you are trying to crate train your dog or puppy you must understand that you can not expect them to be able to hold their bladders for extremely long periods. You must provide times for them to go to the bathroom. They don’t want to go in their special place. So it is up to you to take care of them. If they have a accident don’t get mad at them, it wasn’t their fault it was yours.
When teaching your dog discipline, regardless of what training method you use, you should always apply it with speed and consistency. Not correcting your dog for bad behavior every single time, sends him mixed signals that may only make the problem worse. Likewise, not correcting your dog immediately, may make it hard for him to understand why you are punishing him.

It sounds like he's trying to protect his food or toys. Try to avoid taking the food away from him or disturbing him while eating. Perhaps moving hos bowl somewhere a bit quieter and have dry food down for him all the time and only put wet food down twice a day? It might help him to calm down?

My cat does this with food he REALLY likes. His normal food you could stroke him etc while he eats he doesnt care but for instance if you give him chicken he'll growl at you if you stroke him and if you just give him a bit he'll run off and hide with it.
With food its not an issue, just leave him to his food. Toys however id worry about is he getting too excited or is it like if you touch them he'll attack you?

Take him to the vet, maybe it's to do with breeding. The vet will probably know what to do.
