What will UKIP do about special advisers?

I answered a question about Party whips: http://ca.answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=201...

In my answer, I implied that UKIP do not have Special Advisers, will therefore represent their constituents' interests rather than those of their secret lobbyists, and are best placed of all the parties free of the Special Adviser system of Government to do something about it.

Is this true?

You are correct, UKIP operate on a committee basis rather than Cabinet as is the case with the other party's. A Cabinet member is not likely to be an expert so has advisers to bring them info, of course over time, these advisers have been required to bring the positive aspects of everything so as to help in debates etc.

By operating a committee structure, each small area can contribute directly to the larger committee's and ultimately to the National Executive. This means that all the information has come directly from source and includes the actual situation rather then some statistical or anecdotal material.

UKIP do not need to fish through statistics until they find one that suits their argument (advisers job). They instead, use real time and actual information. Thus ensuring that what they deal with is relevant and up to date.

Highly theoretical question, as ministers appoint their own Spads, and Ukip are unlikely to have any Ministers in the foreseeable future.

The two and a fart conspiracies that have, or until 2010 had, Ministers, usually recruited them from their incestuous entourage of aides, researchers, etc, who creep or shag their way into front benchers' circles, or from similar reptiles in their Party HQ.

I expect Farage would probably recruit his in a pub, or a golf club bar, or something like that. After all, all Spads these days are graduates, but Farage thinks that people with degrees are ignorant and stupid, and no woman with a grain of sense would go anywhere near him - so he will be left with his boozing chums.

Since UKIP will not win any seats at Westminster in the next election, they won't have any MPs or any power. So they won't have to do anything about special advisors.
