Cardio Eliptical and Treadmill?

Is doing 30 minutes of the Eliptical and 30 mins on the treadmill just as effective as 1 hr on the treadmill? I am asking because I have lost 45lbs so far and I truly think my body knows all my patterns now so now i need to come up wit a completely new pattern. I usually do 1 hr of cardio Mon-Fri with leg press on T-TH. I then started alternating that every 2 weeks. Now my new plan is to do 30 mins of eliptical then 30 minutes of treadmil Mon,Wed,Fri then on T-Th only weight train & rest Sats and Suns like normal. But overall my question is would my cardio portion be just as effective if I split it up between the treadmill and eliptical vs just running/walking on the treadmill for an hr?

    It would be even more effective than just doing the treadmill for 60 minutes. You could also just switch from one to the other every other day.
