Y&R: So will Adam be recast?

Question

It looks like they are leaving the "Is Adam dead"? question open. On one hand the car exploded and looks like no one could survive the fire. On the other hand, the car slides into a swiftly flowing river and  no body could be recovered. Thus Adam is PRESUMED dead. Any word yet on IF there will be a recast of MM?

I heard a rumour that the show will take a 3-6 month break from Adam before recasting, now does that mean they wait 3-6 months to begin looking for a recast or do they get a recast and he begins taping in 3-6 months? If its the first then don't expect Adam to be seen for 12-18 months, if its the former then 4-8 months is when Adam could show up again.

Either way it won't be MM.

At this point they haven't recast or decided to recast the role yet. They will wait for the rumors and scandal to die down first.

Notice they haven't found the homeless guy who was a witness. I think 6 months or a year from now they will recast the role and that's how they will explain it.. the car may have hit the homeless guy and killed him. Billy got out of the car first and being disoriented just wandered away. Adam then gets out of the car, finds the dead homeless guy, switches clothes with him and puts him in the car.

Not sure yet, since they haven't found a body yet. I can see them dragging this on for several more months tho.
Some are speculating that Adam change clothes and was the witness that Paul talk to (he had a hood cover over him pretty good), but I can't see how that could happen unless Adam was thrown from the car first and he had time to change and do that. But I wonder about the gun shot that went off tho.
Haven't heard about any recast yet either.

I think they will take their time recasting Adam, wait until all the anger about MM being fired dies down, and they need to pick a good replacement.

Im sure Adam will be presumed dead for a while and I doubt he will be  recast till late summer.

I haven't seen anything hinting a recast of 'Adam' as of yet. But, like you said they have left it open for him to return with no memory or was just hiding out for awhile.

Adam will be recast, but I don't know when, or who is going to be in that role.
