Students.
You will actually see examples of critical thinking during this debate. What used to be science has now been taken over by politics. And nobody dares to question it. You have truth by consensus (backed up by disappearing grant money if you do not go along).
Let's have more debates! And as the hippies used to say:
Question authority.

If I was a betting man, and I am, I would handicap it like this:
Nye has scientific evidence and a TV presence to present it but I fear he is outclassed by the stage performance skills of Ham. Ham does not need, indeed does not have, credible scientific facts to be convincing. This is what he does. he is an expert at deception.
He is on home turf
I give him the edge.

A ten dollar bet on Nye gets you 15

You could just say "who will win the Bill Nye - Ken Ham debate today?" Anyway, I think Bill Nye will; he has actual evidence to substantiate his claims.
- Innocent VictimLv 77 years ago
It's really quite irrelevant who wins. What matters in science is evidence, not debate - and the evidence shows that Ken Ham is completely wrong.

In debate, it's a skill to convince people of completely untrue things. Debate itself requires a large skill-set that I worry Bill Nye doesn't have. In short, they are likely to be playing two very different games together, so we'll see what happens.

I Suspect no-one. Nye will present facts and rational argument, Ham will ignore them and keep coming up with pseudo-science. That will be enough to convince the theists and no one will change their minds. That's why it is pointless to debate these people!

They both will win.
Bill Nye will win based on any rational argument.
Ken Ham will win the popular vote, based on the debate taking place at the Creation "Museum" which I suspect will be stuffed to the gills with YEC Christians who care nothing for facts or arguments and will declare the victor whatever idiot supports their preconceptions.
Look at the last science/creation debate between the Rational Response Squad and Ray "the Banana Man" Comfort.
Basically the ground rules were set up, Ray proceeded to break all of those, made a complete idiot of himself, and then declare victory.
The evolution / YEC debate is over. It was over 20+ years ago. It's coffin was made in 1925 with the Scopes trial.
All that remains now is some people who refuse to accept reality, and scream at us from their corner "IS NOT!!!"

Nobody wins in these things. As both teach only lies mixed with Truth. They both shall lead astray many in this folly. What good can come from a little Truth mixed with lies. Whats to be watched is (Will our common ancestor be exposed.) Can Bill Nye explain what many call the missing link. If he can not then does he prove he only has part TRUTH !!! Can Ken Ham teach about our common ancestor as this is taught in THE BIBLE!!! If not then does he expose his decietfulness in THE WORD OF GOD. Well I wouldn't want to be either one of those men on judgement day.Nor would I want to be one of their dupes.
JESUS BLESS YOU

That's today, isn't it?
I am hoping and praying that Bill Nye will wipe the floor with that lying sack of poison Ham, but I fear that Nye has no idea that's he's been set up by that filthy con man.
“Debating creationists on the topic of evolution is rather like trying to play chess with a pigeon; it knocks the pieces over, craps on the board, and flies back to its flock to claim victory.”

I would be very surprised if Bill Nye doesn't win. Then again, I don't know who's moderating.

Bill Nye... It is very hard to make an argument for creationism. Then again, there are some pretty outstanding issues with evolution as well.
