How do I get rid of ad popups?

I keep getting annoying ads on almost every website I go to, I'm using Chrome and I tried un-installing and re-installing it. Used CCleaner to delete cookies and other stuff, and I used the stupid ad blocker extension that people keep saying to use but it seems 100% useless to me because I have used it and it does nothing from my experience. I even went into the web browser setting and I still get them.

They are the same f-ing ads, they pop up on both sides and bottom of my screen, and its just random spam like stuff. Iv'e went online and tried a bunch of crap that they tell me to do, it has all done nothing. Iv'e done a virus search came back with nothing. Does anyone have any suggestions?

If you recommend me a useless pop up blocker, or tell me its the sites I go on I will punch you. I use pop up blockers USELESS, and their the same pop ups on every F-ing site I go on, so I know it's not the sites fault.

You have malware, get Malwarebytes free antimalware you can download here: http://downloads.malwarebytes.org/mbam-download.ph... Install (don't choose trial), update (now and once a week) and start a full scan. When the scan is done make sure everything that Malwarebytes found is selected, and click delete. This will quarantine the files and remove its registry entries. Your Ccleaner has functions to assist in removing malware- scroll down on the left side to "Old Prefetch Data" (KEEP ALL THE OTHER DEFAULTS SELECTED) and check that box, then run the cleaner. When thats done go to Tools > Startup and search through EACH TAB starting from Windows, Internet Explorer, etc., all the way to Context Menu, for the suspicious entries click Disable (if your not sure what it is) and Delete (If you know you want it dead). Some antivirus programs don't even address malware, one that does through its Boot-time scan is Avast which you can download here: http://www.avast.com/en-us/get/olSeZktG Uninstall whichever antivirus program you have and run its particular removal tool to completely remove it along with its registry entries. After you install the Avast and update it, click the magnifying glass icon (Scan)> select Boot-time scan, and go down to the small blue "settings" link on that same tab (THIS IS WHERE YOU HARDEN SETTINGS FOR THE BOOT-TIME SCAN). A new tab will open- from top to bottom on that tab select all hard drives, click the graph below that to high, both boxes below that checked, select move to chest, click OK- that tab will close. Select start scan, and then Yes. This will take out the things Malwarebytes and your previous antivirus program missed. Windows will boot up after the scan is done. Avast has options to protect against certain malwares and "pups" (potentially unwanted programs) that invite malware, and a few other hidden gems and advantages YOUR GOING TO HAVE TO LEARN: http://www.winhelp.us/configure-avast-free-antivir... One great feature will tell you when a valid program (Java, Browsers, Flash Player, Media Players, etc.) needs updating. You can turn off the automatic updates to each of those programs as Avast checks for the updates, allowing you to free up memory and bandwidth. Learn more about Avast setup and features at this site: http://www.winhelp.us/configure-avast-free-antivir... If you really want to "block" the ad's, trackers, malicious sites, and malware you should consider using a Hosts file manager. For each and every browser extension that is installed in a browser, it slows that browser down. I've used ad blocking extensions before until I found what was a far better alternative and is very light on resources, and don't slow the browser down in the least as it STOPS ad servers from loading altogether. I installed a Hosts file manager called Hostsman. This program allows me to easily update, edit, enable, or disable the Hosts file right from my system tray, it takes away all of the effort and aggravation involved in using Hosts files. This allows me to block ad servers, spam, tracking, and malicious sites. I currently have over 360,000 sites blocked. You can download Hostsman here: http://www.abelhadigital.com/hostsman Select the following sources in Hostsman: MVPS Hosts, hp Hosts (Ad and Tracking servers only), Peter Lowes AdServers List, Cameleon, and Malware Domain List. After a few days of finally running issue free, open the Ccleaner> go to "Tools"> "System Restore"> select every system checkpoint from before you took out the malware and delete them all (JUST THE SYSTEM CHECKPOINTS). You can select several by holding the Ctrl and selecting everyone you need to delete (These system restore points could be corrupted). You will free up a ton of space in that one step. Pay it forward.

Try an anti-pop up software. They usually come preinstalled in browsers like Firefox and chrome. For example, Chrome's pop up blocker: https://support.google.com/toolbar/answer/9171?hl=...
