Tank diameter calculation?
I have a 10,000 gallon (258 barrel) tank that is 24 feet high. How can I calculate the diameter of the tank?

V = (pi/4) * d² * h
convert the volume to ft^3, then use the above formula to solve for the diameter.

there are .1337 cu Ft/gallon>>10000/.1337= 1337 cu ft.
1337/24=55.71sq ft (area of the base)/3.1416=17.733 (R^2)
sqrt(1.733) = 4.2 = R*2 = 8.4 ft =Diameter.
