Do you feel close to your friends?

Most people have a tight bunch of friends with whom they share everything with. But for me, I've never felt close to any of my friends, especially after we've parted ways in life. My reason is probably because based on my experience, I've learnt that friends are always there to share your joy, but will become really busy when you're having trouble. Keeping an emotional distance and not being too attached to my friends has become the norm for me.

Do you feel close to your friends? If you don't, what's your reason?

I don't. I never have. I guess I'm just not a people person! The question to ask yourself is, are you happy with the way you are, or do you feel lonesome? As for me, I've gone 30 years without close friends. People come and go, but I prefer they keep their distance most of the time, and if they go, best of luck to 'em.

Are you okay with being the way you are, or do you feel lonely? The best thing you can do for yourself is whatever makes you smile, so if you feel the need to grow emotional attachments, try looking into ways you can overcome past experience and accept that with real bonds comes real disappointment. If you can handle that, you go on out and make friends! If not, or if you just prefer your own company over other peoples, like I do, power to ya!
