Does anyone know why you would have hairy arms but not your father?

I noticed how I have hair on my arms, but when I look a my dad he doesn't seem to have any hair on them. He does have hairy legs though, but I've never seen his stomach where I have noticeable hairs on them. Is it just genetic variation that I'm increasing? I saw pictures of my grandfather but I can't tell if he has any(he does have a receding hairline, not too bad though).

Update:

Oh yeah, reason I said I couldn't tell was because they follow a strict ritual of shaving. I can see my dad's 5 o'clock, though it's not a shade.

Don't overlook your mother's genetic contribution to your fuzziness. She may carry genes that made you as you are.

YOUR genetics & HIS genetics are NOT the same.

Your genetics determine your hair growth - - all over your body.
