full dolphin fairings were used on a few post war cycles for racing and some street types. racing rules changed mid/late 1950s to not allow them on tracks because of accidents , front wheel interference. street use got a few incidents and couple places banned them also - US transportation dept advisory, british MOT and Germany stopped them for street use after front wheel jams. about that time. Bonneville was complete off road so still used a lot. Might be fun to try- but don't get front wheels jammed.

Buy two of them and with a little imagination you could have a 1949 Buick Roadmaster that was lowered and didn't scrape the paint off while cornering. Add flames, LOL!
