Why is Obama delaying the healthcare mandates for businesses, but not for individuals?

Will we ever get a President who is not a total crony?

To give business owners with less than 100 employees more time to buy compliant health plans. Thats all. That does not affect Congressional elections. I think that was a good move, and also to change the number of employees employer has before having to offer insurance from 50 to 100. It helps small business save money.

Because business has been complaining that the mandate is a hardship on them. From a pratical standpoint, though there is a difference between the two mandates. The individual mandate is central to the law's functionality and is needed to keep costs down in the private sector. The business mandate on the other hand is a relatively small part of the law. It only applies to businesses with more than 50 employees and most of those already offer health insurance. In the end it's estimated that the employer mandate will provide health coverage to only about 1% of American workers.

Barack knows his made to fail system is collapsing and the only way to temporarily shore it up is to undo much of the change.

Because businessmen are whiny pansies that need to have everything their way, or they throw temper tantrums. Just like republicans.
