What are some really good young adult books?

I'm really into popular books like The Hunger Games, Divergent, The Mortal Instruments, etc. I'm not a huge fan of realistic fiction. I'm looking for a book for my next book report (8th Grade) with a grade level around 7-10 or so. I saw the book "Legend" but will it be too easy? Thanks!

I have heard amazing things about Legend but I haven't had a chance to read it yet. It looks really good! And I've read the other ones that you listed and they are some of my favorites too!

Here are some of the other books that I really like.

The Selection (The Selection #1) by Kiera Cass - It's about a broken society that is ruled by a king and queen. They are trying to find their son (the prince) someone that he might be interested in marrying. They go about finding a girl by holding a raffle and 35 of their choices come to live at the castle and meet the prince. Subsequently, they are let go if the prince doesn't like them. It's a cute book with an awesomely strong and charismatic young lady as the main character. It's a great read!

Obsidian (Lux #1) by Jennifer Armentrout - It's about aliens. And normally, I wouldn't read something so science-fiction-ey. BUT. The main character is this super sassy girl that you can't help but relate to and she has this hunky neighbor that is difficult and mouthy and it makes for an awesome combination.

Marked (House of Night #1) by P.C. Cast - This is a vamp book about a girl named Zoey who has been marked to change into a vampire. After she's been marked, she gets sent to the vampire school where they will see if marked kids will make it through "the change". It turns out that Zoey isn't the average vampire, she's been given special powers. It's a great book and the series is amazing.

    Hope this helps!
