Is it normal to have wet dreams frequently?

I am a 19 year old male and I have been having regular wet dreams like on average 3-4 times a week. I have had 3 consecutive nights of wet dreams, and I have even had many times 2 wet dreams in one night.

I have understood that men typically don't get wet dreams very often; I get them all the time. I have in the past had 3 wet dreams in one night.

Last week I couldn't have one night without at least one wet dream. Every night that week, I had at least one wet dream.

I had my first wet dream at age 10; I had them infrequently (roughly once every other month) until age 13 the frequency of wet dreams increased from there.

Sorry for the length; I want to know how I can reduce the amount of wet dreams, as I feel this is quite excessive.

Is it normal to be having this many wet dreams?

Is it normal to start having them at 10 years old?

How can I reduce them?

Sorry for the length of this; please no mean/irrelevant responces!

Update:

Okay, so I have never had sex, and I can't masturbate. Does this make a difference?

Well, it might not be "normal" in the sense of "most people don't experience this that often" but it is not harmful or dangerous. Just enjoy them. Many people wish they could have that many.

Since people CAN (and usually do) ejaculate at least once a day from sex or masturbation, the fact that you are doing it while asleep is not that unusual. It would be like having a nightmare every night. It is possible, but not common, but because it is unpleasant you want it to stop. Wet dreams are only unpleasant when you have to clean up, but the dreams should be very enjoyable.

    Here are some possible explanations:

    1. You never have sex or masturbate. Duh, you already admitted that, but it is obviously a big reason for why it happens, but probably not the only one, so read on...

    2. You have a high testosterone level (which is naturally high during REM sleep, when boys also get erections. Hmm.)

    3. You have a LOW ejaculation level. This is the kind of thing that causes what some people experience as premature ejaculation. When having sex (or trying to) they suddenly ejaculate, even before they enter the female. Usually this just means a small amount of stimulation can lead to orgasm suddenly. When you sleep, any sexual dream image, feeling yourself get an erection (which happens many times a night) with it rubbing against your underwear or pressing into the sheets, or even a full bladder, can trigger a wet dream.

    4. It may not be semen. It can be pre-***. Some people leak a great amount of this during periods of arousal. You might simply produce a lot. It is sticky like semen but clear, so you might think it is semen when you wake up. But if you don't remember any dream or orgasmic contractions or pulsations, or aren't still erect when you wake up, then this could be the reason, since every healthy male has erections several times a night, just that when you do you leak pre-***, but several more drips than other people.

    5. Related to #4, but it COULD be urine. I'm assuming you've checked (felt for stickiness, smelled that it was semen, not pee). But, if you leak precum, it is possible for this to dry, sealing the tip of your penis. In this scenario some urine can leak into your urethra but be blocked from coming out from the seal... UNTIL you get erect. That breaks the seal AND closes off the bladder with a valve preventing an accident. But what is still inside your penis is forced out. Which coincidentally is the same amount of liquid from a wet dream, so the stain size is similar. If you are just looking at the stain size and think "looks like wet dream" and did not smell or check for stickiness, AND you still have the erection that broke the seal and forced the pee out, you might think it was the guilty "smoking gun."

    6. I have read a while ago about this "condition" that some people have that the act of waking up from being asleep can be an "arousal" overload which the body translates to an orgasm. It is very rare but not unhealthy. Again, there are some people who experience other weird things when they wake up, like feeling paralyzed or suffocating if their mind wakes up before their body does.

Anyway, hope those different scenarios help.

    Having A Wet Dream

It is normal especially for individuals who do not masturbate. Masturbation at least 3 to 4 times a month can help release sexual tension that is building up in the body. Personally, I first experience my first wet dreams when I was 12 and some friends of mine told they've experience it when they were at 10. So, I guess it's normal to have wet dreams at 10 years old.

If you want to reduce wet dreams occurrences, try to release sexual tension at least a few times a month through masturbation. It is normal for males to be sexually active either physically or through thoughts, and that means you're healthy.

I'm 17 and the same thing happens to me. I have wet dreams 2 to 4 nights in a row most weeks. The part that sucks is I feel tired all day the next day.

    Hey there,

Most often premature ejaculation occurs in younger men, but it can affect men of all ages. There could be a number of different reasons for the problems, both physical and psychological. The good news is that there are certain solutions available that have proven effective, such as the Ejaculation Trainer (see site here http://www.goobypls.com/r/rd.asp?gid=565), which can show a man how to develop permanent ejaculation control. By successfully addressing a man’s ejaculation concerns and teaching him how to control it, he will quickly become more confident and both he and his partner will be much more satisfied.

Some thyroid disorders can be cured, but many require lifetime treatment. Learn here https://tr.im/JTzTp

For example, sometimes early stage thyroid cancer can be cured by surgery to remove the thyroid gland, but you will need to take thyroid hormone medication afterwards for the rest of your life. Goiters can also be surgically removed and do not always recur after surgery. In most cases, thyroid disorders need treatment over a lifetime. However, with treatment most people with thyroid disorders can live normal, healthy lives.
