Like wood in the morning I rise to ask atheists a question.?

Frequent question, but I appreciate the poetic way you posted it.

Started religious, but eventually it stopped making sense.

And those who are religious have informed me of two importantprinciples.

1. If you pray to God for the Gift of Faith, it will be given unto you.

AND

2. If you will only have Faith in God, He will answer all your prayers.

So, until I believe in him, He won't answer my prayers and give me the faith I need in order to believe in Him and get my prayers answered so that I will believe in Him enough to get my prayers answered which will give me the faith I need in order to believe in Him and get my prayers answered so that I will believe in Him enough to get my prayers answered which will....

I started out religious, in a religious home.

I was a lifelong Wiccan, as my mother was. (My father was too, but killed in Vietnam when I was seven.)

I gave up Wicca last October, as did my mother, for the same reason we never accepted any other assertions of gods: no evidence.

I just went two gods further than the average Christian.

Brought up before I can remember Catholic. Aged about 4 I became Church Of England.

Aged 15 I became sane and woke from the coma.

I have answered this same question about 5 times a weel for years...

Babtist for about the first 16 years, then about 5 years of indecision, followed by about 15 years of Wicca, been full atheist for about 15 years now.

All humans are born Atheists, just like all other life forms on Earth.
