Exactly how was Lambs killed in old times?

Is there any place in scripture that details how the lambs offered in sacrifices was killed?

I am seeking evidence if it was pierced in it's side....slitting it's throat is one method but not even that have I found detailed in the scriptures....Who knows the facts or where, if it is in scripture?

After the animal was slaughtered it was skinned, that is the knife was run under the ribs to remove the coat.

Throat cut to let them bleed out. There is not, by my knowledge any detailed description of how to exactly do it. My guess is that it is not much different from today. Lambs was not pierced in the side. There would be no reason for doing that.

First things first. The most humane way to kill a sheep, if you are doing your own home kill, is to knock the sheep out with a blunt instrument. Slit its throat cutting though to the spinal cord (as shown in the picture to the left). Anyone new to this will find this the hardest bit of the operation.

the throat being cut is the proper way , otherwise the blood makes the meat go sour

Same way they are sacrificed today in certain religions, their throats are slit.
