Trying to find out the history of my 70's vehicle?
I have a 1976 ford f150 and I recently have become extremely interested in its history after watching a certain show. Is there anyone that I can contact about this. Exact date it was made, what options it had when it left the factory. And so on. I already tried calling ford and they could only tell me that they had made 50,514 of my specific truck. Any suggestions?

You have a 99% chance of NOT finding the build sheet. Even still, it won't give you the exact date. It's only a pick list saying what was actually put in. The best you're going to get as far as build date is the month and year.

Look in the back of the seat for a "build sheet".
It's usually stuck between the spring and the cushion.
If it's still there, it will list :
Engine, transmission, gearing, options, color, wheel and tire size...
And I forget what all else.
