My 4 month old girl suddenly starting to refuse sleeping in her crib?
My daughter is 4 months old and she has been sleeping in her crib since she was a month old. She sleeps all through the night with the exception of waking up once in the night to change her nappy and give a bottle if she needs it. Since yesterday, after soothing her to a half sleep half wake stage she starts to scream and cry once I lay her on the crib mattress for naps and bedtime. I haven't changed anything at all, it's firm, and is slightly elevated for her because she has a lot of mucus due to her asthma. I had to let her sleep with me last night just so that she would actually go to sleep which I do not feel comfortable with because of 1. The risk of SIDS and 2. I do not want to get her into the habit of being in my bed. It just seems very strange, she doesn't have a fever but is starting to teethe, and she isn't sick to my knowledge but this just happened all of a sudden! Is this a phase or is something wrong?

Naww she loves you and never wants to leave you hehe
I know that doesn't help.
Babies tend to get very clingy at one stage or another.
Do you swaddle her? That may help her feel cosy.
Or maybe you could sleep with her sheet for a night then put it back on so it smells like you?
Not too sure of much else but I know exactly how you feel! I've been there

If she normally has no issue sleeping in crib & this just started yesterday I woulld assume there is something wrong, upset tummy, maybe even the teething, She must feel better, safer or more comfortable with you or on something soft versus firm or one of many other reasons she may feel more comfortable She can still be sick or have something wrong without running a fever my 3 yr old has severe respitory issues. she has been hospitalized 17 times for respitory distress brought on by colds/flu/illnesses only 2 out of the 17 times did she have a fever. If you have problems tonight I would try to get her into her doctor tomorrow just to be safe and in the meantime keep a close eye on her. I know we are all different, see things different, have different fears and some have better luck than others but I have 3 kids none of which ever slept in a baby bed. They had a baby bed but didn't sleep in their own bed till they were in toddler beds. I just had a fear someone would break in and kidnap them My husband & I were very over protective for a while. & didn't want them out of our sight I guess. but maybe we were lucky Idk................if its not a illness just let her cry. my doctor told me that i had hard time doing it n failed at it when my kids were babies but at about 2 yrs old it worked. i know many parents whom this successfully worked for as the child waas a baby they will cry themselves to sleep but after several days to a cpl weeks it will be like aa routine for them some babies may take longer than others to get use too
