Love Sonnet 205
Oh rose, in which sweetness evolve my dreams,
Aspiring boldly, praying to find ways,
To live ideals, that a heart esteems,
Which may last longer than expected days;
So let the thorns by your charms be out-shined,
Your bony stems be swayed to shun the wind,
By scent, your beauty in the dark I'll find,
Deny God's art in you and I have sinned;
But short a lease, the tenant Beauty keeps,
Might Virtue fill the vacancy it left,
Or else, without the dreams my poor heart sleeps,
Of destinations, it will be bereft;
......As sweetness, too, departs from every dream,
.....What values will be left which could redeem?

I like this near - confessional - unusual Sonnet,Q;
Its` emotional complexity and hints of soul and temporal
anomalies, are most well-wrought.
:)
(Line 3., needs one more syllable).
Psychological aspects, and smart metaphors too,
have this be an intriguing,,
`re-read and, re-examine`, poem for me. Thank You.

Dang, it was too much to ask for for two good 'uns in a row, eh?
Here is me reading...
"Oh rose, in which sweetness evolves, evolve, er Oh rose in which evolves sweetness my dreams, no, Oh rose in which sweetness evolve my dreams; OH, Oh rose in WHOSE sweetness evolves INTO my dreaming."
You see you must understand that when I read a line and it doesn't make sense I keep reading it until it DOES makes sense and then...
A) I am now doing homework instead of enjoying art (Try reading what I wrote in quotes as the first line in your poem and see if you can even fathom what the second line says much less enjoy the poem.)
B) What I end up with does not scan, is not melodious and probably doesn't say what you mean to say, but it is THE BEST I GET when the line is truncated to the point of being gibberish just to fit a scansion that wants to make an imbecile out of the user.
This is why I hate scansion, except as an exercise. I think you have exorcized my patience enough.
