Religious people long for the time that they can once again burn atheists alive. However, as one pastor stated "as the atheists become more, and more powerful, we should all start praying that they don't treat us as badly as we treated them" If I were a religious person today, I would be afraid, i'd be very afraid

It depends upon the people and what their religion is. People of the one true religion, Jehovah's Witnesses, generally do agree with each other.

One answerer quotes a "pastor" as saying he hopes that atheists don't mistreat christians as christians did them......Galatians 6:7 and Matthew 26:52 would be a fitting response to those so called "christians".......
........As a Jehovahs Witness, I hope my brothers and sisters will remain apart from that "atheist" persecution....as we as a faith never participated in the persecution of others and further have faced the same forces against us as they did. ( I have never heard of people running and screaming in terror because a "Mob of Witnesses" was approaching.....oh they hide when we knock...but it's not in terror! lol )
Interestingly JW's were abused, persecuted and slaughtered during the World War's BECAUSE they refused to align themselves with those at war....while members of the other denominations that died...were all "self inflicted"....meaning Baptist against Baptist, Catholic against Catholic, Protestant against Protestant and on and on.....So who is ignoring the "love of the Christ" and persecuting whom?

We know that the Catholic Church ruled the eastern world during the dark ages. So what does that have to do with you or me today?
