Mickey Mouse Platy Question! Please?
Hello everyone,
For about a day, my platy has been acting strange. Most of the time (Probably like 90% of the time), he's chilling under a plant not moving. The other 10% is him swimming, but while he's swimming, it's like he's moving his body like a human would shake their head no. Sometimes he also go under a live plant and shakes like he has a vibrator on him.
I've read up and it keep seeming like Ich, but I'm not sure. Could it be ich? or something else
Thanks
@Tabitha
Ok, here's the weird thing. He's been doing this for a day. Right when I took the hood off to check for unconstrained electricity, he started swimming, and now he's acting like a normal fish. He hasn't shaked or wobbled once. He isn't right now and the hood is off
Could it be the air? I have my air pump and it is working
Also, just checked ammonia/nitrite/nitrate. They are at the 0 mark, perfect.
As for white spots, I don't see any.. ill keep an eye on that since I'm blind lol
Update
10 minutes after putting the hood back on, the platy is back hiding under a plant frozen

The only thing you can say for sure is that something is causing it irritation.
It could be ich or another parasite, water quality, a stray electric current. Check the heater for cracks and the tank for any other source of unconstrained electricity. Test your water, especially for ammonia, nitrite and nitrate. Watch for white spots or other visible parasites on the fish.
