Atheists, what coping mechanism do you have for believers instead of God?

Update:

I don't think god and religion would need to be invented if people could cope.

If something bad happens, I don't need to turn to god. I face the problem, deal with it and move on as best as I can.

Try imagining you never heard of an imaginary god, Atheists do not need any coping mechanism to get through life, it is not that bad as long as you stay out of trouble!!! Be good, not godly, and goodness follows you around!!!

I deal with my problems. As best I can. Sure sometimes I get stressed and need to calm down, but everyone get's stressed. My coping mechanism doesn't need to be god, I have friends and family who can help me out when I need it. I have video games and funny cat videos. *I* can decide what makes me happier at that moment. That itself can be a coping mechanism sometimes.

Its like being lost and trapped in the mountains without a house or vehicle. You don't invent a god to fix all your problems. You look at what you want and what you'll need to get what you want.

If we needed coping mechanism, we wouldn't be atheists. Christians NEED god to be, we don't.

Stop "coping" and get on with it. Where has all this coping crap come from? We used to just get on with it. Crap happens, but there's work to do. Is not wallowing in self pity "coping"?

Reality is always the best place to start. If you rely on fictional beings for coping you are lost.

    Some people can cope.

For the rest, perhaps religion can make sense, but what % is really unable to live without religious delusions?

I point out early on in the conversation that I really don't need or believe such silly nonsense.
