Chances of ALS in young black males?

I have seen one case of ALS in a black male under 30, and that's over 24 years of age. I am seriously concerned with my recent developments that i have contracted this disease. I am 20 years of age, in college and have been having unexplained breathing issues and heart palpitation for the past 3 years, but now am experiencing body wide muscle twitches and tremors, a subtle weakness in my hips but especially affecting my left leg, to the point where it feels so stiff and the ankle snaps often when i roll it, i am also having severe jaw stiffness and problems with chewing and swallowing, however no doctors or even my family member believe me when i say these things. while i am a mild hypochondriac, it's only because of the onset of the breathing diffculties. i know i am for sure experiencing the muscle twitches everywhere, especially in my left leg and in the top of my head on the right jaw side. i am afraid that things will get worse very fast. i have seen a neuro for this and even though he said i had a flawless clinical exam he wants to do the emg/ncv test and a mri, things that are expensive to a man who doesn't have cash to spend like that. should i get a different opinion, or go ahead and get the test, and what do you think of my symptoms? the ALS statistics themselves say that 93% of the cases are caucasian, meaning this is a mainly middle aged, white male afflicting disease.
