What is the difference between paperback and comic?
Some people call the paperbacks tradecomics though. Is that a collection of all the comic into one book sized comic, or do they take some things out, or what?

A paperback is a written book in small size, under 6" in height with a flexible cover.
A tradeback is a taller book with a flexible cover, a glued backbone/spine. 99.9% of them are written novels. Very few comic/manga are published in this size. It's too small for the full page panels.
A graphic novel is LARGER than a tradeback, also has a glued spine, and has comics/manga inside, not a text novel.
A hardcover is nearly always larger than a tradeback book, has a hard cover on it, and usually filled with text. I have seen a few graphic novels done as hardcover but the expense is too high for most publishers so they don't use this format.
