OK I figured some of this out. If you write for yahoo voices, you can search through questions that relate to your article. Or another web site that you get paid from. If a question relates to your article you can begin with an answer, and say there is more information on this link. Give your link. It looks like people from yahoo voices get paid by number of views of there articles. Not much, but it takes time to get known. http://bayareagreatthing.hubpages.com/hub/make-mon...

There is no way of earning money here on Yahoo Answers, just thousand of points if you want to

You can not make money on Yahoo Answers. The article is referring to ads on your own website. Google has the same thing available.
The first step is to create a website. You can not use a blog since they do not allow ads. It must be a website that you pay for. You must also have information on it that many people want to see. You only get paid when someone clicks on an ad.

While yahoo can make money off the ads on here.....THE PEOPLE THAT USE IT don't.
I think you are completely missing what the article was actually talking about.
