Can I force a photographer to take nude photos of me because I was born a nudist?

I was born in the nude, therefore I demand to be photographed in the nude. Perhaps I can be served even in a restaurant while in my birthday suit.

Relax. I would work for anybody anyway anytime. But I can also respect others who would not serve atheists. I would simply take my business elsewhere because I am not an EMOTIONAL NEEDY ****** with an inherent need to be right.

Like most commercial interactions, hiring a photographer is basically a business agreement. The photographer offers a good or service (ie. photography service followed by digital files and/or prints), you the customer offers some business to the photographer in the form of hiring the photographer for a session (plus providing the details of the session, ie. nude portraiture), and the photographer either accepts or declines the business offer. That business venture may include a contract where the photographer specifies what he/she will be providing and at what price, and you specify what is expected of that photography job. There may be details in the contract specifying what reasons the job may be canceled by either the photographer or the customer and what the penalty is (required payment, loss of down payment, no charge to the customer, etc.), and under what conditions the contract/order may be changed.

So basically, NO, you can't force a photographer to take nude photos of you, and if you were to try making demands of something the photographer didn't want to do then he/she would be justified in laughing in your face and canceling the photo job if you're trying to change the terms of what's requested. However, what you CAN do is call up photographers and state exactly what you're looking for, in this case someone willing to do a nude photo shoot, and move from one to the next until you find someone who has no problem with nude photos.

If you're a nudist then great. Just don't be a douchebag because it makes us all look bad.

I love this question for if I am not mistaken I believe this is a jab at the photographers who were sued for not wanting to take pictures at a gay wedding ceremony. So to answer your question, yes and no. Under the law that got the photographers who refused to serve the gay marriage ceremony in trouble, you should technically be able to force the photographer to take pictures of you in the nude. However, as we are both aware of, the government and the legal system of the US are full of double standards. We know full well if a straight couple tried to sue a gay photographer for not wanting to take photos at a ant-gay marriage protest that it would never in a million years work. The government would say it would go agaisnt the free speech of the gay photographer to have to take photos at the protest. The same would be the case with the pictures of you in the nude. Based on the terrible law that is in place which I totally disagree with (businesses should have right to refuse service because of religious beliefs) you should be able to force the photographer to take pictures of you in your natural state, but the government has double standards and therefore you would not be able to. Hope this helped. Great question by the way.

You gave permission to take the photos... Since you are over 18 and he knows it he didnt need to ask for ID. He can refuse to delete the photos if he choses,as long as he doesnt post them in public there is nothing you can do about him having the photos. Since you had no written contract then the negatives remain the property of the photographer unless he agrees to sell them to you.. Put simply you never pose nude without a specific written contract...

"I am not an EMOTIONAL NEEDY ****** with an inherent need to be right."

Going by your posts, you are. Also extremely childish as well. Your questions are not really questions. Just trolling statements poorly disguised as questions. Statements in which you are certain that you are "right"and inherently needing to be "right". Statements in which you needingly want others to tell you that you are "right".

I enjoy being nude and I am nude around my house or at my bf's place. However I don't force my nudity on others. I respect other peoples rights to not see nudity in places not designated for nudity.

Generally speaking as a photographer I have no problem with taking nudes. Although, in your case I would need hazard pay, up front.

Any business has a right to refuse service to anyone.

    It's THEIR business after all.

    Yes.

But you can't force him to strip his camera (of a lense cap).
