So christians, how would you live your life as an atheist?

Well since the 'interesting' decision by Ryan Bell to 'try' atheism; which is hard to believe really...but I get it, I'm curious what other religious folk could imagine if they were to 'try' atheism themselves.

Questions is simple:

How would you live your life if you were atheist?

What do you think you would do if you were just an atheist FIRST, rather than be raised or deciding to become a Christian?

What do you think you would do if you 'tried' atheism?

Thanks for any answers you provide.

Update:

@romford relic- Not 'trying' atheism I can understand somewhat, I mean it's literally basing your actions off stereotypes or assumptions of something you don' necessarily know. However, a person living religiously IS different from a person living as an atheist....the only problem is that an individual's lifestyle varies a lot from person to person as an atheist, because as you know, atheist just means the basic 'no belief in God' thing.

However you CAN choose to be atheist...which is technically saying you can 'realize' your epiphany and be identified as atheist.

@William- Um..wow, that seemed all to well planned out. I mean if I turned atheist I'd probably be rather bitter given life's circumstances among other things from my own personal experience...but ah....damn you took that ball and flew.

@biggalloot2003- pretty biased and generalized statement there bub.

@EveofDestruction- Why....well, I know why, but for the sake of the questi

Update 2:

@EveofDestruction- Why....well, I know why, but for the sake of the question, could you act in the scenario and give your opinion of WHAT you may have done given you were telling a story or acting out a rendition of some sort?

@ Jodi - I take it because you ARE atheist?

I don't know who I could thank for all the ways I am cared for and watched over in this life. Gratitude is an important part of my spiritual life and I know I don't deserve the credit, science does not deserve the credit - there would be no one to thank that deserves the thank you.

I am positive that with in 24 hours my life would fall apart. I can't risk that!!

I'm betting a lot of them thing "trying atheism" means living without rules. They usually have such childish, superficial, entirely wrong ideas about what atheism is. Then they call themselves "former atheists" at the end of their two day experiment.

EDIT: Oh, look, William proved it.

What is it that people don't understand about atheism?

You don't choose or 'try out' atheism.

You realise that not a single one of the gods has ever existed, following that realisation you are an atheist.

Some would say some things completely idiotic, such as "if I became an atheist, I would choose to be gay, they rape and murder people, because I would then have no morals".

They would then have to explain how atheists are so under-representative of the criminal population, which they would be unable to do.

If I were atheist I'd be an alcoholic, pillhead, bong using, thief who would use my addicts to manipulate the system every time I got busted for stealing and went to jail. I'd use people into the ground, but if they even owed me a single dime I would whine and complain my way to getting paid back. I'd drink all my money up then blame my wife and start arguements hoping it would lead to a physical fight so that I could manipulate her into not complaining about my alcoholism because she'd feel like she owed my all the time because of our fights. I'd be DUI on a nightly basis and run over things and people, then when I got busted for that I'd go into rehab and then come back out of rehab and have my family and every one I knew constantly give me empathy so that I could do it all over and over again and never change my life for the better becuase I'd be a self serving, self seeking, self centered, self absorbed, egotistical bag of poopy. Or as Christians would rightfully be calling me "Unlamented Refuse".

On the flip side of that coin if I were a well educated atheist I'd be a professor stuck on Darwins tea bags and I would refuse to come into the 21st century and I would deny that Darwin's tree of life had, in fact, already been debunked by the scientific community. Of course I'd do this to sell a few books perhaps maybe buy up some old abandoned missle silos with a few of my clever friends turn them into under ground homes and organize quietly behind the scenes with my friends and business associates to make "climate change" all the rave and scare my fellow sycophantic sybarites into buying up all the under ground housing I had on the market and I'd do so no matter what it took. I'd start off by lying flat out and convicing the politically disaffected that when carbon goes up so do temperatures until some scientist who wasn't my friend starting spreading the truth that when carbon goes up the world's temperatures cool dramatically. In that case I'd tell my friends to help me change "global warming" to "climate change" through their contacts in the media. Any thing it took to make Billions.... anything. I'd even buy up tons of stock in the "end times" market with the companies that sold survival books, survival equipment and survival supplies. And just keep misconstruing science because the politically disaffected seems to eat it up.

EDIT: Thanks Thunder Overhead I usually am the one insulted during these little questions, but that's only because the truth is so scarey and few have any facts to go on ... hence their insults. Been a Christian all my life http://www.wmperrin.com/ ( My website ) but thanks for trying.

My life wouldn't be any different if I became an Atheist.

The trouble is that you can't just decide to be smart and educated. A dumb atheist is no different than a christian.

    I wouldn't.
