Russia invaded Ukraine. What should the West do?

Mind their own damn business. But that wont happen because the U.S. started this coup d'etat to needle Russia, to get access to natural gas, to gain a foothold in the former Russian republics. Since the Obama admin declined to build a missile defense at Russia's border, the Pentagon, State Dept and Defense Dept probably want another way to make money for their weapons friends and keep Russia away. The U.S. has no right to be there.

Russia did not invade. They were already there.

Russia's Black Sea Fleet is home-ported in Sevastopol, Ukraine.

Obama will do nothing. He is weak and a coward. NATO and the EU are very concerned. But they have no legal or moral obligations to Ukraine. There are no treaties of alliance. And NATO cannot act without the USA - the US being a member of NATO. The EU itself is not a military alliance.

However Russia is breaching the UN charter, and Ukraine is entitled to world support to defend itself. Will it get it? No, thanks to the USA preferring inaction.

NATO should probably expel the USA as a member. The USA is preventing them acting to protect Europe.
